Unique Environmental License
This license must be processed when a new company aims to develop operations or industrial processes, services or activities that generate or may generate polluting emissions into the atmosphere and that are included within the industrial sectors such as: chemical, petroleum and petrochemical, paint and ink, automotive, cellulose and paper, metallurgical, glass, electric power generation, asbestos, cement and lime, and hazardous waste treatment.
However, companies that are operating and do not have authorization through a license, may process it under the regularization scheme.
The Single Environmental License must be updated in the following cases:
• Update by “Modification of data of the licensee (change of company name or others).
• Update for "Increase in authorized production capacity".
• Update due to “Changes in production processes, incorporation of emission-generating equipment and expansion of facilities”.
• Update for "Manifestation of new hazardous waste".
In case of not complying with the aforementioned obligations, they may be credited with administrative fines, as well as the temporary or definitive, total or partial closure of the establishment
